We had a family party on Halloween to celebrate, versus going out trick or treating. We played a lot of "Halloween" games and just had a great time together as a family.

Instead of carving pumpkins this year, we just painted them. And considering we just did it the night before Halloween, it wasn't a big deal.

With Halloween on Sunday this year, we took advantage of as many Halloween parties available prior to the day, since we wouldn't be celebrating it as we normally would. The ward had a Halloween party that we attended that gave the kids an opportunity to dress up. Katie as Jasmine, Ashley as Sleeping Beauty, Ryan as Buzz Lightyear, and Sophie as a ladybug.
