Katie's school had a fabulous event called D'Oscars (Dulwich Oscars). Each class at the Junior School made a few movies which were judged in a number of different categories by business members in the community. Katie's group made a Western Style movie of The Little Red Riding Hood. Katie played Little Red Riding Hood. We had to work on her western accent a bit because sometimes the British accent she has picked up since she started attending a British school would creep in! The evening was magical! Everyone came in their fanciest dresses and suits. They rolled out the red carpet, and they transformed the gym to an amazing, carpeted theatre. We were so impressed with the high calibre ceremony. Katie's group didn't win anything, but she had so much fun learning about film making, and a wonderful time at the D'Oscars. We are all looking forward to next year!
