Katie is our little athlete and enjoyed a great week at BYU at All-Sport Camp.  The first day was soccer in their fabulous new indoor soccer facility.  The second day they played football with some of the BYU Football players at Lavell Edwards Stadium.  On Wednesday they trained with the baseball players, Wednesday they had training with Cosmo... and fun day of gymnastics, and the final day was basketball in the RB!  Katie love love loved her week playing a variety of sports, and Ashley, Ryan, Sophie and I had fun playing around Provo and visiting with friends in Utah Valley.

We spend the week in Provo while Katie was at BYU All-Sport Camp.  She was gone all day, but we had her in the evenings and we would get a yummy dinner.  On this evening in particular we went over to the Riverwoods Shopping Center, ate at Chipotle and listened to a musical group performing outside.  I love these pictures of my kids as they were getting along unusually well kicking around Riverwoods.

We had a fabulous afternoon with Mark and Shauna Fishler at their home in Heber.  Every time we go to Utah we always love to go there and visit with them.  And they visited us when we lived in Budapest.  Today we got to walk out and see the horses on their property, and the kids ran and played in their backyard with Gunnar the dog while Mark and Shauna made delicious homemade pizza which was baked in their backyard pizza oven.  Their son, Dan, and his wife and their daughter also came over and visited.  Their daughter Tatum is exactly one month older than Sophie and Soph loved playing with her.   It was a great afternoon with fabulous friends and unforgettable food!  Dan was even nice enough to give the kids a ride on the Razor 4-Wheeler.  Beautiful day in beautiful Heber!

FUN, FUN, FUN day!!!  We spent the morning at the Olympic Park sites.  We watched the downhill skiers practice their form and land in the pool.  And then we took the cable car up the mountain and down alpine slide.  Katie and Ryan are pretty brave and want to go way too fast, but Ash is a little more of a nervous alpine slide rider.  But I don't blame her.  I still have scars from Alpine Slide falls when I was 10 years old.  After the Olympic sites we walked up and down Main Street in Park City, and then headed over to Heber and spent the afternoon with the Fishlers.

Katie Turns 10!!!

After spending a few days at Uncle Robert's house, we stayed for a few days at my friend Amy Groll's house.  We had a nice birthday there for Katie's 10th!!!!!  We played all day and opened presents.  Then that night we had Dairy Queen Birthday cake with Katie's friend Molly (her friend from Shanghai that just moved to Bountiful), Lindsay Larsen and her boyfriend, and Margaret (the girls old babysitter/surrogate big sister).  10 years has gone far too fast.  Katie is the greatest big sister and oldest daughter.  I am blessed every day to have her as my daughter.  She had a wonderful first year in Shanghai and grew so much from her experiences there.  We are looking forward to another great year and although I hate seeing Katie grow up too fast, it is fun to watch her learn and grow also!  We love you Katie!!!!  Thanks for being such a gorgeous girl!

It has been 8 1/2 years since my mom passed away and this is the first time the kids have come with me to see her grave site at the Salt Lake Cemetery. It is in a beautiful place in a plot near Dad's Henegar side of the gamily.  Sometimes it is hard to believe that only one of my kids got to meet my mom.  Although I have always felt like when Ashley, Ryan and Sophie were born they had come right from my mom.

I can't believe Sophie is 2 already!!  We really enjoyed  her Costco birthday cake at Uncle Robert's house.  My Dad, Mike, Sherrelyn and Shrader joined us for cake and Sophie loved her new pink Radio Flyer scooter.
