It was raining for a lot of the morning, but fortunately had stopped for the dig, but it was stil wet outside. Lucky for Katie, she had some very stylish boots in her backpack to assist her!
AISB Ground Breaking ... June 4, 2008
After next year's school year, the lower elementary will be moving out to the Nagykavacsi campus just outside of Budapest, where grades 3-12 are already located. To accomodate all of the classes they are building a new elementary campus out there. The Lower Elementary school (the Buda campus) took buses out to Nagykavacsi to participate in the ground breaking ceremony. They all brough shovels and hard hats and took their turn breaking ground. Before they went out to dig there was a presentation, including a discourse from the American Ambassador to Hungary, April Foley.
