Katie fell asleep at the end, but I can't really blame her. I like going to the Opera for the actual Opera house (it is a beautiful structure!), not so much for the performance (at least I don't have to see the entire thing).
The Nutcracker (Budapest Opera) ... Dec. 16, 2008
We have a tradition (OK, just started last year, but this is year 2) to attend the Nutcracker that plays every Christmas at the Budapest Opera House. Last year we took just Katie, but this year decided we would give Ashley a shot as well. We had our own box, so that made it easier, as Ashley has a hard time staying still in any setting, let alone a 2 1/2 hour ballet. Overall both girls did great and we enjoyed this event. I did have to take Ashley out for a few minutes to let her burn off some energy, but considering Ashley is Ashley, she didn't do so bad.

I took this picture of a lady across the hall from us. She was decked out like it was 1910.
Katie fell asleep at the end, but I can't really blame her. I like going to the Opera for the actual Opera house (it is a beautiful structure!), not so much for the performance (at least I don't have to see the entire thing).
